I took this MBTI personality test today. My mom is into some of this personlity test stuff so I had already taken a similar, longer, Myers-Briggs test (twice). I must say that I actually like the stuff myself. Both previous times I was an ISTP (Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving). However this time it said I was INTP(N is for iNtuitive, it's unintuitive, but I guess you can't have two I's). Of course you can have different levels of each trait, and I was slightly iNtuitive, while moderate in the others. Another personality test that I have taken is the Enneagram. On that I was determined to be a 9 (sometimes called the peacemaker). I find the descriptions about the 9 to be fairly accurate.

I read an article than mentions that tables are dead, and that web design should be done completlely with CSS. This gallery has a lot of good looking sites that are table-less. And I noticed that Brad and Tracy of the UW bloggers use table-less designs. So it looks like I'll be re-designing again :) .

Okay... finally I get to the story that give this enry its title:
Our hydro bill was due today. Please read the story... it's not that bad.

Ever get frustrated by a site that doesn't have a search function. Or one that doesn't always work... even when it does, it's not very good. Try a google site specific search like this one. I must give credit to Tim for the great tip.

SitePoint has some good stuff. I like the article, Search Engine-Friendly URLs. I'd probably go with method 3.

There are so many crappy sites out there; it can get very frustrating sometimes. However there is also a lot of good stuff. And good sites should be extolled... proclaimed so that humanity can be enlightened. But how do you go about doing this in an efficient way. The amount of content can be overwhelming.... and my minds going crazy right now thinking about all (actually, I'm sure not all) of the possibiltities. I definitely need to take some time to sift through everything... how does it all fit together. And since I'm having one of my ADD episodes right now where I can focus very well, I should probably just finish this post with some sites of interest, which is all I really intended to post before my mind started wandering.

Evlot.org: a good looking web developement community.

Digital-Web: a digital web magazine community (where I found out about evolt).

Whatis.com: a reference for all those web/tech terms and acronyms... so you can sound somewhat intelligent in your interview :) .

techANGEL: a harmonious color generator for the colorblind people out there. Haven't actually used it, but it looks cool.

Check out my home: a satellite photo of my home in Akron. Thanks to my brother, Tim and Terraserver for helping make this photo possible. Too bad it only has pictures from the United States... but hey... it's still very cool. And yes I realize that Terraserver is brought to us by Microsoft and that people may have concerns about the implications that satallite photography may have on their privacy... blah blah blah... Check out my home!!! :)

I guess I should say that I'm back in Waterloo now. I had a nice visit home... hung out with most of the kron, relaxed. My parents and brother drove me back up here... we actually drove up on Friday and then spent the weekend in Kincardine at the Southsider Motel. I should also mention that I bought a cheap computer (Pent. II 450) which I plan to use as a web server at Grebel and I have been seriously thinking about getting a digital camera. I'm leaning towards the Canon Powershot S110, which is what Goyer has.
