08/25/2001 Entry: "Our hydro bill was due today"
I took this MBTI personality test today. My mom is into some of this personlity test stuff so I had already taken a similar, longer, Myers-Briggs test (twice). I must say that I actually like the stuff myself. Both previous times I was an ISTP (Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving). However this time it said I was INTP(N is for iNtuitive, it's unintuitive, but I guess you can't have two I's). Of course you can have different levels of each trait, and I was slightly iNtuitive, while moderate in the others. Another personality test that I have taken is the Enneagram. On that I was determined to be a 9 (sometimes called the peacemaker). I find the descriptions about the 9 to be fairly accurate.
I read an article than mentions that tables are dead, and that web design should be done completlely with CSS. This gallery has a lot of good looking sites that are table-less. And I noticed that Brad and Tracy of the UW bloggers use table-less designs. So it looks like I'll be re-designing again :) .
Okay... finally I get to the story that give this enry its title: Our hydro bill was due today. Please read the story... it's not that bad.
Our hydro bill was due today. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “hydro” used in this context, it refers to electricity. You see up north, here in Canada, hydro-electricity is the largest domestic source of electric power. It is truly amazing how this is done considering everything is frozen… but we manage. Thus the term hydro… and I’m back to having to pay the bill, which is due today so mailing it in won’t work. Well I need to get out of the house more anyway… get some exercise… we’ve had great weather lately. So I’ll bike out to Waterloo North Hydro (from now on, WNH) and put my payment in that nice little drop box they have by the front door (Note that last time we drove out to deliver our payment (on the day it was due) and used this procrastinator friendly box). Having been there before, I know were the place is and I even have my nice 2-dollar map that I got from the Turnkey Desk in the SLC which has WNH labeled on it. So with my payment and my 2-dollar map stowed in the cargo pockets of my new shorts, I hop on my bike and head for the WNH. I start out taking the walking/biking path that runs along the train tracks and as I get to where it crosses Columbia Street I can see a group of bikers (some small kids and an older guy, I assumed to be their dad) getting ready to cross. Before I reach the intersection they off and across the street and continuing on the path. So now I’m at the intersection… I slow down a bit, look both ways (I’m a good boy… well at least not completely stupid)… it’s clear… I continued across. However when I’m right in the middle of the street I get this feeling that something wrong just happened. I jump off of my bike and notice that the back wheel has fallen off. The chain isn’t off but the quick release has released and when I lift up my bike, my wheel drops and dangles. Realizing that I should not stand in the middle of the road looking at my bike (remember I’m not completely stupid) I carry it to the other side to have a look. Luckily the road wasn’t busy… no cars came close to hitting me. On the other side of the road I played with my bike for a bit, trying to get the wheel back on. I couldn’t get things lined up right to put the wheel back on, so I decided to carry my bike back to my house. Interestingly, when I was a little more than half way home, and I put my bike down for a rest, things were lined up okay and the wheel went on fine. It still wasn’t lined up quite right, but it was good enough to ride the rest of the way home. Having lost a bit of trust in my bike, I then took John’s bike… rode it to WNH… and delivered my hydro payment. All was good. Except I think I’ll take my bike somewhere to get a tune up.

Your titles don't work.. Make sure you include the title variable in your template.
