[Previous entry: "Windows Messenger in XP"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "More Winamp Plugins"] 08/06/2001 Entry: "mp3 playlist" I decided to play around with the Do Something Winamp Plugin. It was very easy to setup and lets me do cool stuff like give you the list of the latest mp3's that I've listened that you see on the right sidebar of my main page. How do I do it? Well, I use Do Something to generate a file that contains the list of the latest mp3's that I've heard (the top one is actually the one I am currently listening to) and ftp the file to Tomato (the server on which my site is hosted). The file I generate is a php file... at least that's the extention, it is really just html. Then since my weblog uses php, I can include "playlist.php" wherever I want my list to be.... I knew there would be a good reason to change over to php extentions :) . Very cool stuff!!! The Do Something plugin also does playlist monitering, which lets you control stuff like how many times the same artist/album can be played in a certain amount of time. So if you use Winamp, I suggest you check it out. I was actually using Freeamp before, but will probably use winamp now because of this plugin.
