07/28/2001 Entry: "Saturday July 28, 2001"

Another fairly uneventful day. The highlight memory-wise had to be the climbing of the fence. We went out for John's birthday (Me, John, Goyer, Natalie, Jen, Donny). We decided to go to a place down by Waterloo Town Square. It was around 7:30, so we were all very hungry. So we decide to "optimize" our walk, by cutting through so apartment parking lots. The only problem was that there was a fence at the back. It wasn't very high... no use walking all the way around, so we'll climb it. John, Donny, and I got over... no problem. Then as Jen goes, and she's doing okay, but as she is about to jump down she gets her jeans caught on a the top... there were some pointy parts at the top. She sat there for a while as Goyer tried to get her free. So much for the saved time. Eventually she got free and jumped down, but she got a hole the seat of her pants. Then Natalie went over, and she uneasy about balancing on the fence while trying not to get a stuck and not to get a hole in her jeans. With a bit of help she got over without getting stuck, but she didn't avoid the dreaded hole. Goyer then climbed over without a problem. So two pairs of jeans with holes, and no saved time, but it was memorable. :)
